Two National Institutes have met to share (or shake) things a little bit

10:00 PM
The Brazilian National Intellectual Property (INPI)and its counterpart in Argentina met last week to join forces [a mixture of Samba and Tango?]. The meeting was about collaboration [so no one’s body shaking!]. In the meeting there was an agreement [perhaps a hand shaking there?] which will enable the two Institutes to join in, in the development of the Electronic Platform Collaborative Review (e-PEC). This system allows interaction between investigators from different countries in the technical examination of patents.
no tango? no samba? what about a little bit of zumba!! Interaction is pretty good.

The system works by sharing information about a particular application in an environment which is accessible to patent examiners of the countries involved. Thus, they can exchange information and build a technical examination which is more complete and has better quality.

According to INPI’s report, the system will gain efficiency and a good collection, making it more suitable for the operation of patent systems in South America.
