The Brazilian Instituto Nacional da Propriedad Industrial (INPI) informs that in the last 40 days there have been more than 100 e-patent applications. This, according to INPI, contributes to ‘make life easier’ for the users of the system and moreover, it has avoided printing 3,237 sheets of paper.
The e-Patent aims to modernize the patent process within INPI. It involves an e-Administração (e-Governance) that ambitions is to improve and to have better communication with other government agencies; and an e-Service that wishes to increase communication with the (outside) public.
